La ML fête ses 20 ans
Des avoirs de Rs 2,6 milliards
La Mauritius Leasing a célébré, avant-hier, ses vingt ans d'existence, au Domaine Les Pailles. Le vice-Premier ministre et ministre des Infrastructures publiques, le Dr Rashid Beebeejaun, était présent à cette occasion en compagnie de M M. Y. Gujadhur et J. Allen de ML, une compagnie de crédit-bai qui contrôle environ 25 % du marché à Maurice.
Le chiffre d'affaires de la ML jouit d'une santé florissante, comme le prouve la hausse de 24 %
. Ses investissements nets dans le financement du crédit-bai ont subi une augmentation de 17 % pour atteindre Rs 2 milliards. Ses avoirs ont crû pour atteindre Rs 2,6 milliards. |

JOINT CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
We refer to the cautionary announcement of British American Investment Co (Mtius) Ltd
(BAI) dated 29 December 2006, where it was communicated that the Bank of Mauritius
approved in principle its application for a Banking Licence.
The Boards of BAI and The Mauritius Leasing Company Limited (ML) would like to
inform their respective shareholders and the public in general that in implementation of one
of the conditions to which that approval is subjected, they will expand ML’s operations into
a fully-fledged bank, and the financial leasing operations presently carried out by ML will
be routed to a wholly owned subsidiary. In this respect, ML will issue a detailed circular to
its shareholders once the Banking Licence is granted and approval from regulatory
authorities has been received.
The Shareholders of BAI and ML and the public in general would be kept informed of
further developments in this matter and are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of BAI and ML.

| Mauritius Leasing has entered the rally championship as one of the two main co-sponsor of the ‘Championnat National de Rallye Automobile 2006’.
Already the team of five vehicles presented at the championship have shown interesting results after the first events.

However, Alladeen could not reiterate his performance at the second leg, the 10th Toyota Round, due to technical problems while other team members managed honourable rankings. The De Coriolis/Grenouille duo which managed a fifth position in the first leg with a Subaru Impreza WRX abandoned the second race after the car went off track.
“I extend my sincere thanks for those who have taken time to attend or are supporting us in their own way. Watch out for the next leg of the competition,” urges Mr Jugurnauth.

ML at major exhibitions - Posted On: 13/04/2006

| INFOTECH, the annual ICT Exhibition and Conferences event organised by the National Computer Board (NCB), was marked by the presence of Mauritius Leasing as one of the main sponsors.
Held at the Freeport Operations of Mauritius (FOM), Mer Rouge, Port Louis, the event was opened by Honourable Rajesh Jeetah, Acting Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
ML was one of the 44 exhibitors which presented their products and services to thousands who flocked in to see the latest hi-tech gadgets.
ML offered financing solutions for those looking at purchasing office tools or computers.
Mauritius Leasing also participated at the Salon de la Maison, which gave the company a much needed boost in terms of exposure. At the salon, ML presented its solutions regarding the financing of computers as well as generators, cars, etc…
ML created the difference at the motor show organised by the Motor Vehicles Dealers Assocation (MVDA) held at the Swami Vivekanada Centre in Pailles in November 2005.
Through the event, ML successfully defined its value proposition, communicated its message, and delivered the best in quality products, information, support – confirming its position as leader in the industry. |
