A brief look at the Company's history shows that Mauritius Leasing has always been a pioneer in its field by operating a strategy of innovation:
1987
Mauritius Leasing was incorporated as a joint venture between Government and the private sector of Mauritius and was the first company to offer leasing facilities to businesses.
   
1990
Mauritius Leasing became the first leasing company to issue debenture stocks listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.
   
1995
Mauritius Leasing was authorised by the Bank of Mauritius to conduct deposit-taking business.
   
1997
British American Insurance Co. (Mtius) Ltd acquired a 75% stake of Mauritius Leasing.
   
2004
First leasing company to be listed in the SEM as from February 27, 2004.
 
The Company also launched the first 100% instant lease financing targeted at retail clients. This product previously unavailable in Mauritius, was launched in November 2004 supported by a major advertising campaign and 11 vehicle dealers
 
The installation of global banking solution software, FlexCube, in November 2004, will significantly enhance efficiency, custom service and profitability, in the forthcoming year.
